Microsoft's flagship golf series makes the transition from computer to Xbox with the release of Links 2004. In addition to a playable lineup of professional golfers, including cover star Sergio Garcia, Links 2004 offers authentic venues in Greywolf, New South Wales, and Four Seasons Resort Aviara, among others. Each 3D course features animated water, ocean surf, and/or wildlife, depending on the locale. To further draw players into the environment, time of day will influence the look of the courses, and both fans and animals will react to certain shots by turning their heads or running away. Players can select equipment from an assortment of manufacturers before hitting the fairways, and a television-style presentation includes dynamic camera angles, professional caliber commentary, and post-game analysis. <br><br>The biggest addition to the series is the inclusion of an analog swing meter, where players pull back and then quickly push forward on the right thumbstick to simulate the motion of a golf swing in real time. Career Mode lets players test their skills during a full year on the tour, gradually building up attributes and notoriety to compete with the best the game has to offer. As players make a name for themselves on the courses, they'll be able to sign with corporate sponsors to improve their cash earnings and will notice more and more fans coming out to support their favorite golfer. As part of Microsoft's Xbox Sports Network, which provides updates and scores to any Web-based device, Links 2004 benefits from the service's stat-tracking and league-building features for online play via Xbox Live.

I Refunded this buyer in full 3 days later she got the dvds she demanded I send her return label, on ebay once it's been refunded you can not then process a return. So people LOOK at the picture she included I said I did not care what she did with her 3 FREE dvds I say sell them, trash them play frisbee then I state the correct thing to do would be to return them to me or reimburse me. SHE LEFT ME A NEGATIVE FOR 3 FREE MOVIES!! She's mad I didn't want to pay for the return? Makes ZERO sense!!

fun and realistic
This game is great. everything you'd expect from a golf game and more. my only complaint is that they should have spent a little more time with cleaning up the comentary. you can clearly tell that the comentary is spliced together. It also gets quite repedative but if you can get past that, you'll enjoy this game. you get to use real clubs like Ping, Cobra, Taylormade, ect, and you can unlock shaft types, steel to graphite, soft, med, or stiff flex. Its just a great game all together, i can't put the controler down.This game is great. everything you'd expect from a golf game and more. my only complaint is that they should have spent a little more time with cleaning up the comentary. you can clearly tell that the comentary is spliced together. still the best golf game
Awesome game! It is actually responsibly for me learning to play the game for real which by the way is much harder than the video game!!! Excellant graphics and very easy to use controls. I've played the recently released EA Tiger woods titles and liked Links better. If they Improved the create a player section of the game in a second release it would be no contest and yet It is still the best golf game out there!!!!!!!!!Awesome game! Links 2004 golf game for the Xbox and Xbox 360 systems
If you're tired of the shockingly nonchallenging, nonengaging, and overly "arcadish" gameplay of the Tiger Woods series, then by all means pick up Links 2004 for the Xbox consoles. The title has just recently becomes backwards compatible for the 360, and its graphics have never looked so good in 720p (however, it's displayed in 4:3, a bummer for HDTV owners). The gameplay is superbly sim in nature, especially in the advanced setting (my only gripe here is that you're unable to change difficulty levels once you're started a player profile). Best of all, the game can be picked up for next to nothing (I obtained my copy, shipping inclusive, for the price of a rental!).
