Abdullah was a young and not very prosperous carpet dealer. His father, who had been disappointed in him, had left him only enough money to open a modest booth in the Bazaar. There was also a princess who had been betrothed to him at birth. He was content with his life and his daydreams until, one day, a stranger sold him a magic carpet.     Yay for a new book!

    Recently been reading Howl's Moving Castle, so I decided to purchase this. It has a really strange smell, which is unpleasant, but I'm still really excited to read it!

    Funny and nice

    Diana Wynne Jones is called a children's author, but, her readers range far beyond the juvenile. Castle in the Air is the sequel to the award winning Howl's Moving Castle. This book does not disappoint. It's a rolicking tale of a lowly rug merchant whisked away on a fantasy adventure. There is a fierce djinn, a genie in a bottle, a bunch of beautiful princesses to save, and magical mayhem. This is the author to turn to when you are suffering from Harry Potter withdrawal.
