Prismacolor Verithin pencils
These pencils have the same great colors as other Prismacolors, but, because the "leads" are harder, & sharpen to a finer point, they serve a different purpose than the softer ones. While the Premiers are great for general coloring, the Verithins enable one to color in very fine lines and tiny spaces. Some people who are unaware of that difference have expressed disappointment after buying them. They are, however, a valuable addition to the toolbox of any colorist. My only complaint is that since they are now made in Mexico, by Sanford/Newell Rubbermaid, there has been some deterioration in quality control. They are not as good for durability and color intensity as those precious old US manufactured Eagle "Chemi-Sealed" Verithin ones I used to buy, but they are still quite decent. The ... Box cover misleading as pencils do not come sharpened
Have not used yet, but leads are very thin. Pencils are not sharpened as shown in picture on front. This is my first purchase of Prismacolor and I am a little disappointed, after buying other brands like Koh-I-Noor and Tombow and Derwent.

Best Colored Pencils on the Market
Best colored pencils I own and I have tried many brands hoping to save money. That attempt was a waste of money until I gave in and purchased the best quality pencils available. This collection varies in color tone and is the perfect size. Any other shade can be accomplished by blending.

Great For Small Spaces
These thinner pencils are wonderful for getting into the smaller places you need to fill in. They are a much harder lead than the Prismacolors we are used to. The hues are just as sharp as the more expensive ones in this brand.

Prismacolor Verithin
These pencils will be used for there highlighting value. They can be sharpened to a fine point using a electric pencil sharpener. I tried to use a new hand held sharpener with no success as colored point kept breaking. I use these pencils for highlighting airplane models as well as chalk. Does a great job. However, I would have wanted it to do a better job of blending with other colors. I'm not a artist so as a novice user of colored pencils, it works for me. One other note, that the color is not as hard as I thought it would be for Prismacolor Verithin.These pencils will be used for there highlighting value.
