I got this bag to protect, and transport my new Mapex 8X14 snare. The fit is perfect! I am impressed with the closure, and the hatbox design of the bag. This style offers superior protection to the upper rim; whereas other bags have a canvas top that only covers the drum head. This was well thought out for the working drummer in mind. This is my sixth snare. I have 4 others in various thicknesses, and a second 8X14.
