  • BAVA AT HIS BEST!

To me, this is without a doubt Bava's best film. Loaded with creepy atmosphere, luscious black & white photography and excellent acting. If you know anything about Mario Bava, then no more needs to be said. If your a newcomer to the master of Italian Horror then this is an excellent movie to start with. I don't like to put spoilers in my reviews, so I won't. lets just say that this is a film that won't disappoint if you are a fan of classic horror. However, if your looking for blood and guts, Bay of Blood might be more your cup of tea. Black Sunday dose not have much in the way of gore. What it dose have is an Excellent director and Cinematographer, A first rate cast and a very solid story. If they only made them this way today!,

  • BLACK SUNDAY - A CLASSIC!

This classic horror film gets better every time I see it! A truly unforgettable opening scene. Barbara Steele is amazing. She is the perfect horror movie scream queen! The DVD has a commentary track that enlightened me on some of the impressive and seamless special effects - this in itself is worth the price of the DVD. If you're a film student, this is a great lesson in making a classic film with almost no budget. This is a triumph of imagination over a small budget. BRAVO TO BAVA!

  • A shocker!

This is a classic from a memorable actress.....her performance will shock you !!!
