    It's finally MINE! More than I imagined.

    I bought the original Tie Fighter the year it came out....1994. I also got the addon the next year. But I have always wanted this CD version. It will actually play in my current system and it has all the addons and voice work along with updated graphics...in one package. And now I got it. It is in perfect condition and I got it at a reasonable price to boot. I have a top end system and getting old games to play is impossible most times. But by using DosBox this one fired right up and I've played it some already. Its a great game and still fun after these 16 years. Wow how time flys huh? Anyway if you are looking for a great space fighter then don't pass this one up. If you are lucky enough to find it somewhere then don't hesitate....buy it. It it a true classic in every sense.     Improves on an already great game!

    Back in the early 90's when X-Wing was released I found it to be a truly great game. It had a great storyline, graphics (for the time), and a sound track that could adapt to the gameplay. Tie Fighter takes all these aspects and amplifies them. The flight model was improved as well as the targeting and identification systems. The missions are abundant and challenging. The voice overs add to the atomosphere, just as the "secondary" missions given to you by the cloaked figure add the the games plot. I enjoyed this entire series so much I have played it on every Microsoft operating system from MSDOS6.22 through Windows Vista, and some Linux distro's using DOSBox. This is a must have and must play game!

    Very Fun Star Wars Game with an Imperial Perspective

    Star Wars: TIE Fighter is one of my favorite Star Wars games. Playing as the Rebels in other games is okay, but I love that this game lets you be on the Empire's side. You fly several different TIEs and Imperial fighters on missions which are challenging but not so hard that casual video game players can't do well. The graphics are now somewhat dated, but a plus to this game is that you can play it on older computers because it's not so advanced as more recent releases. I run the game on a 1997 desktop PC with no trouble. SW: TIE Fighter is very, very fun and a great game for all Star Wars fans.

    Well, this game is amazing.

    Four words to describe the game? THIS GAME IS AWESOME. I'd have to honestly say that this game of the TIE Fighter series is easily the best flight simulator game (and that's all-inclusive, both space and regular flight-sims) I have ever played. Even better when you include the great Star Wars theme, and the fact that you are playing on the bad guy's side. You might encounter a problem trying to play it on a newer computer, but that is nothing the right emulator can fix.

    TIE favorite

    Perhaps the best of all Lucas Arts games, "Tie Figter" set the mark for all other Star Wars games. The game is rich with exciting missions, new ships, endless battles and cutscenes that hold you in the game. This was a childhood favorite, and all who have played it will agree - "BEST GAME EVER". Rid the Galaxy of the Rebel Scum...ADD THIS GAME TO YOUR COLLECTION!!!!!!!
