LOVE Colin Firth, and Renee Zellweger!! AND...love-to-hate Hugh Grant!! This is a nostalgic flashback to the "over-30 and single" days that many experienced. My own era, for this time in my life, was in the mid-1980's, & I can see myself, and my friends, in Bridget and her pals. We were an interactive and very supportive group. Even the music reflects that era in time! The fact that it is loosely based on "Pride and Prejudice" is a plus, and I found myself falling more "in love" with MARK Darcy than I did with FITZWILLIAM Darcy...probably due to the fact that it was a lot easier to relate to Bridget Jones than it was to relate to Elizabeth Bennett. Hugh Grant was such fun, as the George Wickham-type character, and it was great, to see Mark Darcy give him the old "one-two!" Just a most ... LOVE Colin Firth, and Renee Zellweger!! This movie when it came out really made me laugh and I could Identify with it! But it was so good that I wanted to keep it in my Library of other favorites and share with friends and family. I felt that bridget ultimately won her man and got what she wanted! I will deem this as a classic!

Cute movie for the 16-28 year olds'. A bit to sexy for my taste. Colin Firth is an appealing actor for any age and shows it here. Great for a "girls-night-out" evening.
