    Great DIY combo unit

    I charged my 1988 911 with r-12 that I also bought on eBay. Everything went as planned the vacuum pump and manifold gauges worked perfectly and I would highly recommend it for auto . I will use it on my residential AC when the occasion arises. the manifold gauges will be fine I don't know if the vacuum pump has enough power To evacuate a 3 1/2 ton unit but it was flawless for my auto

    Slightly disappointed!!!

    The old saying, "You get what you pay for" is spot on with this product. Although it did the job on my car's a/c, the pump cut off due to overheating after 40 minutes. I had to let the pump cool off and then put a fan on the pump to keep the vacuum going. I would recommend paying a little more money and buying a 1/3 or 1/2 horsepower pump. Also the fittings on the hoses for the manifold gauges will fit the pump but it will not fit the can tap for the Freon. I had to buy a special tool that had a dual fitting to get the Freon into the system once the vacuum was completed. Spend a little more and get a bigger pump and a better set of manifold gauges - if you can afford it.

    Works well.

    Good quality pump. Worked well. Gauges and hoses also feel pretty solid and worked well. Comes with oil for the pump and the case for the gauges and hoses fits them well. Comes with instructions. I used once... that's all I needed it for. I would buy again if I had to. Items were packed well and shipping was fast.

    Vacuum pump is 2 pull all of the air out of an air conditioning system. So you can then recharge it with the freon. It also allows you to check your lindset and make sure there's no leaks.

    Instructions were very vague. Bolts to install the legs were too long and wouldn’t work with the cap nuts supplied. I had to supply my own bolts. Controller did not work. Wrong bolts were used on some precassembled items, and other bolts on reassembled items were not tight.
