    Needs a preamp

    It works fine but if you want some serious volume you have to run it through a preamp of some type. Switching from one guitar to another between songs requires some sound adjustment at the mixer or amplifier. Other than that... I love it just fine.

    Kills the tone and bass response

    Totally strips my beautiful woody guitar of its tone and strips it of all of its bass. The bottom three strings do not project at the same volume as the top three. It makes the top three strings sound like a loud, cheap guitar lacking tone, and muffles the three lower strings. I guess you get what you pay for. Spend more and buy a better pickup.

    Good product, incomplete information

    I thought this would work for my nylon string acoustic guitar and it didn't, and i didn't knew that from the beginning because it wasn't specified in the title. Had to sell it to buy a kremona ng pickup which does work.
