I didn't expect much for this price even for a Yamaha. After doing a set-up the notes were still sharp up the neck. Can't blame the seller, it was a manufacturing defect. the bridge was too far forward. Thanks.

    Good travel guitar.

I have 3 different brands of 20" scale length nylon string guitars. This one is 1/2 and 1/3 the price of the others. Build quality is good. l keep them all tuned to E. lt is slightly bigger than the other 2 so it may not just fit in that piece of luggage you have, but does have a fuller sound. The dots on the fretboard are meant for a ukulele and cause confusion when placed on a guitar. Note that in terms of scale length or body size this is the smallest type of instrument you can get and still have the guitar experience.

Arrived unplayable due to neck warp - plz read

I’m sorry to have to report this. Arrived unplayable before truss rod adjustment. Buzz at 1st and 2nd frets. Less so after, but cannot adjust truss rod enough to correct the neck buzz. Still buzzes specifically 2nd and 4th Strings on 2nd fret. None of the other frets or strings had this issue. This remaining buzzing is truly sad Because the tone is great and playability is fantastic all the way up the neck. If it were not buzzing, I could wholeheartedly recommend. I’m playing Fingerstyle and classical on this thing but again cannot keep it due to fret buzz. Will be contacting company in the morning for replacement etc. would love to have a playable instrument.

  • Excellent practice tool.

This is a great "guitar" to keep in your living or family room to pick up at a whim--you will find yourself practicing more. It's great for playing while watching TV, for working out a melody of a song or for practicing scales and riffs. It's a great little guitar for playing old time 'delta' blues. It has a sweet tone with good sustain. At under $100, it's a great bargain.

  • too much fun

Got this for my GF who gets sore fingers from the Big Baby steel-string I gave her years ago. I also gave her a Fender Nohea ukulele (which she loves) but this is the "bridge" between to two. It's basically a uke with two low strings added, so she is learning chords on this from her experience on BOTH instruments. It play easily and intonation is very good. I will be getting another for myself! It's also a good gift idea for beginners - it's easy to play, very portable and if the student grows bored with it you aren't out $300 or more.

  • Really good. nothing needs improving upon

I'm tuning it like a regular guitar. The excellent strings are high enough tension that they work fine tuned down a fourth. Intonation is very good. Chinese made instruments have really improved to the point that no upgrades were necessary.
