Praise for Bianca "Leaving the Scottish border behind, Small heads to both new (Renaissance Italy) and familiar (the Middle East) territory in a lush and highly sensual tale: the first of the Silk Merchant's Daughters quartet. Large in scope and heated, even sizzling, with passion-- Fifty Shades has nothing on Small--Bianca harkens back to the style, sweep and sensuality that this beloved author is known for creating."-- RT Book Reviews (4½ stars, Top Pick) "Exquisite historical detail brings every moment vividly to life."-- Publishers Weekly More Praise for Bertrice Small "Bertrice Small is a legend."--Linda Lael Miller "Bertrice Small has long been a favorite among many erotic historical readers and I firmly believe she'll hold the title of the 'reigning queen' for many years to come."--Romance Junkies "[Her novels] tell an intriguing story, they are rich in detail, and they are all so very hard to put down."--The Best Reviews, Praise for Bertrice Small: "Nobody does it quite like Bertrice Small."-- The Romance Reader "Rich in historical detail."-- Booklist "A historical romance stalwart."-- Publishers Weekly "The reigning queen of the historical genre."-- Romance Junkies, Praise for Bertrice Small: "Nobody does it quite like Bertrice Small."- The Romance Reader "Rich in historical detail."- Booklist "A historical romance stalwart."- Publishers Weekly "The reigning queen of the historical genre."- Romance Junkies

Synopsis
New York Times bestselling author Bertrice Small begins a captivating quartet of novels in this "Renaissance romance fraught with conflicting family dynamics and ruthless dangers ...The plotting is spellbinding"(Fresh Fiction). Florentine silk merchant Giovanni Pietro d'Angelo and his wife want nothing more than to marry their daughters to wealthy men of distinction. But when their son is implicated in a tragic accident, it is their eldest daughter, Bianca, who must pay the price--by marrying the powerful and debauched Sebastiano Rovere in exchange for his silence. Bianca flees the cruel union and seeks shelter in a seaside villa where she discovers the possibility of love at last. But Florentine society will never approve of the man she's chosen: Prince Amir, grandson of Mehmet the Conqueror. Two passionate lovers. Two different worlds determined to keep them apart., After being used as the pawn in a blackmail scheme - and traded as the bride to a debauched brute - the beautiful Bianca finally flees the cruel union and seeks shelter in a seaside villa. But it's the shocking murder of her husband that proves even more liberating. Unfortunately, Florentine society will never approve of the new man she's chose: Prince Amir, grandson of Mehmet the Conqueror. How can two lovers from two cultures find happiness in a world determined to tear them apart?

The listing was for a hardcover version of this book; however, I received a paperback. The Seller replied quickly to my question about this issue and issued a full refund - and let me keep the book. So, a diligent Seller for sure - and well packaged and reasonable timing on shipping. Thank you for the refund, and as you suggested, I'll likely donate this volume and seek the hardcover.

Great transaction, exactly as described, packed well, and promptly shipped on August 6th. Unfortunately the U.S. Postal Service took 23 calendar days to deliver the book. It was shipped from Pennsylvania, to Atlanta, past Alabama to Texas, enjoyed several days in Texas, then to Minneapolis, Jacksonville, Florida, back to Atlanta, finally to Birmingham, and Huntsville. The seller was very responsive and I decided it was interesting to see if/how the book would arrive. Thanks, Joe

Excellent purchase. Was able to get all three items from the one seller. Seller was able to bundle all three items together into one package. Items as described and arrived in perfect condition. Good communication around shipping and tracking as items delayed and not able to be delivered by original estimate. Thanks to shipping updates I was able to track the items arriving before the extended delivery time. Thank you for making these items available on EBay.
