Small but mighty
When I first saw this sharpener I thought it looked wimpy. It took me about 10 or 15 minutes to figure out the best way to use it,but after that I sharpened 8 knifes in about 1/2 an hour. The only negative thing I can say is that it really doesn't have instructions. Other than that it's a great product !

1st..I've just removed every other sharpener from the kitchen..I process and butcher allot of my own meats and this sharpener works like a charm. Boning, butcher, paring and even the cleaver have a good edge after a few swipes. You'll need to run your blades threw a few times (BE patient, do NOT overly force or bear down on the knives, unless you wanting it to look like a cheap serrated knock-off ) to get the proper angle back, but once you've accomplished that, a couple swipes and you've a razor sharp edge every time. For home use and in the kitchen this is a very, very handy sharpener. EASY WAY TO SHARPEN KNIVES
THIS IS AN EASY WAY TO SHARPEN A KNIFE. IT DOES GIVE A GOOD SHARP EDGE TO THE KNIFE, HOWEVER IT DOES TAKE OFF A LOT OF STEEL FROM THE BLADE. FOR YOUR LESS EXPENSIVE KNIVES, IT IS A GOOD EASY WAY TO SHARPEN THEM. ONE SHOULD SPEND A FEW MORE DOLLARS AND GET A WORKSHARP SHARPENER FOR MEDIUM TO HIGH VALUE KNIVES TO MAINTAIN QUALITY OF BLADE. BUT THIS IS A GOOD SHARPENER FOR BEGINNERS.

The item is well constructed, but the sharpening point has deteriorated very quickly. In the beginning, this sharpener applied a very nice and consistent edge on which ever knife I was using at the time. As I continued to use it (more than 25 times) the scissor sharpening blades began to wear out very quickly.
