I was looking through the ads one sunday and saw 300 march to glory. I was beside myself because 300 the movie was the best movie i have ever seen. I bought the game and i was happily suprised. The game has mediocre graphics. The gameplay gets repetitive at times with the swinging of the sword. But other than those 2 minor flaws in the game, the game is a blast. There are many unlockables, and videos, and pictures from the movie to unlock. And as you continue on throughout the game, you unlock new powers, moves, spears, swords, and armour. If you have a PSP and you loved 300, you must get this games!
300: March to Glory is an exciting game for the PSP that lets you play as King Leonidas of Sparta fighting against countless Persians in the Battle of Thermopylae. The story unfolds through narrated, graphic novel-like stills featuring fantastic artwork. The graphics are acceptable, though one would feel like they could have been done a little better. I any case, the backgrounds and the characters are pretty identifiable, if a little choppy. The game has fantastic voice acting which moves the story along beautifully. The sound track suits the action and the sound effects really make you feel like you just disemboweled a Persian. The game plays out in consecutive chapters inwhich you have one or more goals that need to be accomplished. The bulk of the gameplay involves simple button mashing but there are some fun secrets to find and unlockables and extras. Some enemies and situations seem a little too difficult and it does get frustrating trying to get past them but persistance pays off when the story advances. Best of all, the chapters can be replayed so that all secrets and unlockables can be attained. A lot of people will say this is not the best game but I would definitely say that it is worth checking out.Read full review
Here is what I liked about 300 March to Glory for the PSP PROS: Good voice acting, nice bonus interviews with Frank Miller and several trailers for 300 the film that look cool on the PSP screen as well as other unlockable comic art etc... Neutrals: The gameplay is basically a little bit hack n' slash, a little bit strategy and little bit of RPG (very little)upgrading is cool and different methods of killing are satisfying to learn and execute but the game needed more variety in between the fighting besides God of War style minigames. Basically you will be holding L trigger to block hits and getting in specific style hits on bosses etc when they are vulnerable, not bad but not groundbreaking gameplay either. Cons: On certain levels the ground rolls by like one of those old car racing games where the road moved under the vehicles. Decent enough, but not great if you like Frank Miller and the film adaptation I say give it a shot, but you might want to wait till the price drops.Read full review
I loved the movie for 300, and when I first saw the promotions for this game I was excited. After buying and playing this title for a few days, though, my excitement started to disappear. The graphics aren't too great, and the gameplay quickly turns into repetitive block and attack sequences. There are some cool 300 extras from the movie, and the use of the original soundtrack from the movie and the inclusion of David Wenham (actor from the film) doing voiceover during the game are nice touches. I was disappointed that the person who does the voiceover for Leonidas sounds nothing like Gerard Butler. Decent game that gets 3 stars from me...I'd say this title is only for the people who are fans of the movie.
This is a good killing game, similar to the PS2 Spartan: Total Warrior. If you like Spartan you should like this game. Or if you like 300 i suggest you try out the Saprtan game on PS2. Lots of killing on both. 300 little blood - Spartan ..... well you see more blood than you would have ever seen in your entire life. Booth have good story lines. If you liked the movie, well here you get to be a part of it.
