There is a considerable amount of play in the arm and therefore it dips down at the unhinged end, we have counteracted this by changing the position of the bracket so that the arm is pointing up a little - that helped. There should be a fixture at the open end so that the curtain closes when the door closes - very necessary to keep the draughts out. We sorted that by using sash window rings on the open end and that works beautifully.
