Little heavy with great quality
The reel is a little heavier than say the Zebco 33's that use 10 pound line. It does have a very smooth operation and seems to cast a little easier and or further than other similar models. Personal preference would have been to have a double handle like level cast reels but this would obviously also add more weight to the reel. The handle does function well though. A hard cast may cause the pickups to engage during the cast but an easy or moderate casts works well. For the size level and performance it is a very good reel for all around use for the beginner as well as a veteran.The reel is a little heavier than say the Zebco 33's that use 10 pound line. Got this combo in the smaller 6 size. It’s a great little reel, but don’t let that fool you. It will haul in large mouth, sandies and even hybrids/wipers. Bluegills, Green sunfish, Redears and Warmouths are no match a buts a blast on this light tackle! Can switch handle to right/left, simple one hand push button operations.
