    My favorite phone ever!

I'm an accomplished musician, someone who utilizes two decades of training to make my fingers move ultra-fast, and I can type on this keyboard as fast as on a full-size 19mm pitch computer keyboard. The hexagonal arrangement of the keys (making the spacing equal to all 6 adjacent keys), the raised border around each key (protecting against hitting adjacent keys accidentally), and the ideal pitch, pressure, and amount or rubbey tactile feel make this the best keyboard I've ever used on any mobile device. Even though it's memory- and speed-impaired, as long as 3G and 802.11g WiFi exist, this may just be the best mobile device ever created. It's a horrible shame that there were not more like it, and probably never will be again.

  • Samsung Moment - Great phone

I have had my phone for several days and I am really liking it so far. It is very easy to use, the screen is beautiful, and the phone has a tremendous amount of functionality built in as well as available through the Android Market. My dislikes of the phone are relatively minor - 1. The battery life is not great. I need to do some research on what others are doing to increase battery life. I also think the next version release of the operating system is going to address power usage. 2. I wish the phone would notify you of a missed text/call when it is dormant. My old phone, if you missed the audible incoming call/text notification, it would have one of the buttons glow (while the screen was blank/off) to let you know you missed something. 3. The screen is beautiful but tends to get ...

  • Great after the Update

This phone was so-so with Android OS 1.5, but after the update in April, things got a lot better... It was more responsive, the bug with "Roaming mode" was fixed, it added Google Navigation, Google Voice Search, and the zoom option for the Camera. it has a very responsive AMOLED touchscreen, which was easier to see at different angles. Bluetooth connectivity also was more stable after the 2.1 update. Lost one star because the battery life on it is not the greatest, but it is a solid phone both physically and systemwise. You can navigate 3 different ways, via touchscreen, optical track-pad, or using the keyboard arrows. Connects to WiFi perfectly, and comes Built-In with Moxier which is a MS Exchange connecting utility, which makes this great for dual-purpose personal/work device. As far as ...

  • Samsung Moment a.k.a. "The Brick"

Well I am coming from an HTC Hero. I liked the Hero very much, but a couple things prompted me to get another phone. One of those being the use of a physical keyboard. Now the virtual KB may be usable for others, maybe one with the fingers of a 9yr old girl. That being said, the use of it was more often then not, frustrating. My other qualm was the speed or there lack of. The Hero seemed less like its' name and more like a normal person in comparison, if that's possible? Going between apps., dialing even down to setting the alarm were sometimes patience yielding experience. Though I could be biased as I am a very impatient individual. Other then those minor details the phone is awesome! So I recently purchased The Samsung Moment in hopes of aliveating my dissapointments of previous phone. ...

  • ROCKS at the things it does well, but has a few annoying tendencies.

I like this phone... seriously!! My old Blackberry was a replacement for the one I had before it; both of them got old and developed problems, so I bought this one as an interim phone until I can qualify for a new "cheaper" phone on my account. There are just a few negatives that I would like to point out. 1/ It's heavier than my old Blackberry. 2/ The touchscreen interface is slow to respond when mid-call; you have to wait for the screen to light up, then drag the dialpad up [taking care not to blank the phone again], then proceed from there - I usually have to put it on "speaker" to avoid blanking the screen over and over. 3/ Even though the screen dims during use, it's still possible to face-dial different buttons including "mute" and "speaker". 4/ The touchscreen is annoying when ...
