    Super guitar with great feel and a quality sound

    Just getting back into playing after taking a long hiatus, this is the perfect guitar. Sold as a demo, it was in perfect shape. Certainly not a “low budget” looking guitar. Neck and body are a great shape for easy playing. Gretsch makes quality stuff.

    Great short scale bass! Great short scale bass

    As a guitar player I found this an easy transition. Quality is very good!! This doesn’t feel like it’s price point, feels and looks like it should cost hundreds more. I can’t believe the fit and finish on this guitar. It is a joy to learn on. The scale length of 30 inches doesn’t feel that much longer if any than a regular guitar. I’ve played 34 inch full scale basses and you know your playing an extremely long instrument. If you’re thinking about this one just buy it. You won’t be disappointed. All switches are solid, no junk pick ups sound great. I own 2 other Chinese Gretsch guitars and both of them are high quality as well. The streamliner 2215 and the new Baritone model with out the bigsby both of them are quality imports too. I don’t know who Fender/Gretsch got to build them ...

    Wow, this bass rocks!

    Wow, this bass is fantastic. Great feel, good looks, and awesome tone. I haven't put it down since I got it. My Yamaha, Epiphone and Vantage bass guitars are feeling neglected... I can't believe the quality of the instrument despite its exceptionally-reasonable price.

    Gretsch bass

    Surprised! Bought one in the mahogany (red). Fit and finish is really nice. The sounds available from the different settings were great. Mostly a US Fender guy I bought this on a lark for the price. It just plain plays nice! Also my first short scale bass. I have no problems recommending one as it will not disappoint. I will put a set of nylon coated La Bella's on it next after the stock ones wear out a little.
