    Pretty much what I expected...

    My 75 yo mother needed a cell phone to carry with her for emergency use. She just keeps a balance of minutes on it via T-mobile and carries it in her purse turned off all the time. She can't figure a smart phone out but this little unit works well for her purposes. Of course these are used so they show some wear and tear. The wear and tear on the one I ordered wasn't bad but I suspect it might have been submerged in water at some point, however briefly. It works fine though so I've got no complaints in that regard. The reason that I took off a star though was because the "new" battery that was sent with the phone is absolute garbage. Between being a very cheaply made knock off and having a capacity of only 680mAh the "new" battery has just enough of a charge to power the phone on ...

    Overall: The Samsung T809 is a great phone. Its the one I use myself. It was Samsungs reply to Motorolla's Razr. It's overall appearance and unique design is excellent, and fun to use. The screen is large and very crisp and pretty scratch resistant. Being a quad band, 1.3 mp camera, video capture (up to 10 min. or so with the memory card), edge technology, usb adapter, MP3 player, etc, makes this one fully loaded phone. I also used if for internet access for my computer and performed nicely. It has some interesting camera editing features as well. Cons: The phone does not have a flash, and in dim light it's very easy to blur a picture. The camera sound also goes off without anyway to stop it, and it does so not during the moment it takes the picture, so you can find yourself holding the ...

    different not pricey, cool features

    i originall wanted this phone because, it wouldnt need a digital camera, or mp3, because this phone has both features, so far the only thing, i dont like is that i couldnt personalize my contacts by setting a different ring tone per contact... i like that its black, also this one slides, it gets attention, alot of people think its neat, ive gotten alot of compliments, another con, my last phone i had a bar phone a t509 that one had no mp3, but its camera button was on the side, so it was extra easy for me to take videos or pix when i needed them, this one i have to go around through the menu, n stuff, to finnally get to it,

    Great Music Phone

    I actually bought this phone so i can keep in contact with my brother. The call quality is great, the speaker phone option is awesome as well. My brother loves music and for someone who isn't very computer literate, he's finding it very easy to add songs to his mp3 lists. He just needs a higher capacity micro sd card now. The only thing I didn't like is that the oem software won't let you create customizable ring tones. Other than that this is a great little slider phone for a great price w/o contract.

    best phone ever!

    this phone is the best phone i ever had. i think samsung knows what consumers want. i bought this phone more than a year ago, and my contract is over now, so i got a new rizr z3 (motorola). but guess what? i'm still using my old phone. i'm planning to sell my new phone. this rizr sucks the whole time even thouhg it came out a year later than the t809. u can change ur slide tones, make ur own ringtone (requires computer), can even change ur size and color of text and its background color too! 1.3 mega pixel camera. it shows u how many missed calls u have from how many different people and even times!!!! up to 20+. (my bf called me 26 times and this phone still showed everything and when he called each time!) plus all kinds of features other phones have also! amzaing! love this ...
