Tekton 47749 is a phenomenal oxygen sensor socket!!! Worth every penny!
I am a weekend mechanic and I ordered this online due to the infamous check engine light, PO139 to be exact. The code reader I have said it was the downstream oxygen sensor on a Mazda 6 (2010). I already owned a spark plug type tool, which is like a deep impact socket with a slit in the middle. That too was nearly impossible to use. I bought this one and it works great. My fear was using an offset design, a ratchet and extension would not have force equally to remove the o2 sensor, but it did. I did NOT need to soak the o2 sensor in wd40 all night, etc. I typically read all the reviews to ensure I do not miss anything. I read one that said there was a design flaw, there is NO design flaw. It is impossible for the tool manufacturer to know the position of every o2 sensor known to man. ... Tekton seems to make good quality tools and this is no exception. Another thing I truly like about this sensor, I was able to use a torque wrench in such limiting space. Sensors came with instructions to torque it based on the size. M18 sensors - Install finger-tight then 1/2 - 3/4 turn with wrench/O2 sensor socket 26 - 33ft. lbs. M12 sensors - Install finger-tight then 3/4 - 1 turn with wrench/O2 sensor socket 13.2 - 17ft. lbs. I learned that most sensors use the M18, so I torque mine to 30 lbs. I was scared to under torque or over torque. When I installed it and I tightened it without a torque wrench, I noticed that I had under-torqued big-time. When I used the torque wrench, it still went a few turns (it seems). Due to the tight spacing, this is the only tool I can use that I can confidently torque it using a torque wrench and now I will sleep knowing it was done right. Mazda dealer wanted $250 for labor and $175 for the o2 sensor. I paid $9 for the tool with free shipping from a super Ebay seller and $70 for a NTK sensor from Rock auto. I have re-set the engine code and only time will tell if the check engine light remains off. Bottom line, the Tekton 47749 is a great, must tool, very high quality, inexpensive, I would buy it again. Almost all cars and trucks have o2 sensors, so buy it before you find yourself with the check engine light. Study your system before you buy. Some people buy tools and than they realize it will NOT work for their situation, that is NOT the fault of the tool manufacturer. One last thing, I owned an expensive $60 o2 sensor tool and this one is NOT any different. It is well built, rugged and ready to rock. I highly doubt the average home mechanic will need an expensive Snap on to remove a once in a lifetime o2 sensor. I am 50 years old and I have removed about 3 sensors in multiple cars in my lifetime. My tool box has lots of high quality tools made in USA, so I am not one of these Harbor Freighters, but I know where I can get away with a cost efficient tool and this is one of them. Thank you.

I needed a short O2 attachment for my ratchet to remove a stubborn sensor. Due to lack of headroom a normal size attachment wouldn't fit in the space I had. I found other Tekton tools to be well built and this one was no exception. I had to really torque the sensor to break it loose even using a copper pipe over my ratchet for added leverage. The attachment worked great but because of the build out where the wrench attaches I could only get a quarter turn from the wrench without having to remove everything and have to re-position the attachment. Unfortunately, the O2 sensor had backed out of its threads just enough that the wrench and attachment were now wedged against the heat shield to where I couldn't get the attachment off the sensor. Also couldn't get the ratchet to click back ... I needed a short O2 attachment for my ratchet to remove a stubborn sensor. This can be a life saver. It is well built and fits perfect on any 3/8 socket driver. You can now get in those ridiculous angles without worrying about it popping off and breaking the sensor or busting your knuckles.

Worth buying
If you have to remove an Oxygen sensor do not waste your time trying to get it off the engine with pliers or some other type of wrench. It is much easier to just slip this socket on the sensor and twist it off. It will save you a lot of frustration.

Garbage tools
I bought this to change an O2 sensor on a BMW 325i. When trying to use this tool it's to heavy for a swivel and the only reason I needed a swivel was because the socket itself is not deep/tall enough to clear the exhaust on an angled O2 sensor. The walls are very thick unlike an OTC or snap-on socket. Not worth the money IMO spend the $30 and get the snap on with an actual lifetime warranty.
