    Fantastic "Pocket Camera"...Does it all without the bulk and weight !

    It's got a lot of features that other cameras do not have, such as an "Optical Viewfinder" which is in addition to the "screen". I also like that I can control the brightness of the picture before I take it. ~It doesn't require much light to do a splendid job, so not much need of the "Flash" feature unless maybe at night. Too much light will certainly ruin a picture, but if you discover that, just shut off the flash. ~ Also, it only requires 2 AA Batteries. No need to charge up with a Charger. ~AA Batteries will be around long after the "special rechargeable battery" that comes with many cameras. ~You wont hear, "I'm sorry, that battery is no longer available." ~It also puts a date on your picture, so that one day when you get old and gray, you can see exactly when that picture was ...

    disappointed

    This was to replace another Canon, an A550 which served well for several years but started getting such that it could only use batteries that were brand new, and then got so bad it said even brand-new, name-brand alkalines were dead and would turn itself off and tell you to replace the batteries. Cannon wouldn't service it anymore, so I got this one to replace it. This one initially worked fine, then quickly developed the same problem. I put it in the trash. I won't buy another Canon. The other thing is that it's too menu-oriented. It's harder to use than the older A550 was. It's hard to find things in the menus, let alone quickly!

    Good pocket sized camera.

    Great little camera and love the optical view finder for lining up outdoor pics in bright sunlight. Easy to use for quick close pics but lens doesn't take full advantage of 16MP capability on distance shots. Camera does have battery compartment weak pint as battery spring contacts are are stronger than plastic battery compartment and will eventually require adding tape as was needed on the Fuji it replaces.

    The camera is in excellent condition. The price is reasonable for a camera that looks and works like new, and that is in demand because these cameras are no longer made. We like these cameras so much that we have worked hard at finding one even though they are not made any more. The big advantage of the camera is the optical viewfinder, which is functional even in bright sunlight, is usable without glasses, and provides a more stable shooting stance, with the camera braced against the head, than cameras that are held at arms' length. Furthermore, the camera uses easily available AA cells instead of a proprietary battery that may not be replaceable. Finally, the camera is compact and light.     Great Value

    The description does not do this camera justice. The zoom feature is much better than I expected, as is the view screen. Most screens I have used wash-out except in dim light, but this one stays functional even on bright days. The direct view lens gives an accurate view and is handy for shooting with the sun at your back and the screen is washed-out. It also fits easily in a shirt pocket. Great camera and great price! Could not be happier.
