    Best Control With Small Price

    This protocol adapter was the "way" to go to get control of your Pentair Pool System. Using a hard wire connection with the adapter is cheaper and less complicated than using the wireless system. My total cost for this project was $336.00 as compared to $1000. Having control of your pool settings through you smart phone, desktop pc, or pad is simply great. I can control my pool from my living room, the yard, or in some other city by using the remote control system through any pc with the software loaded, any smart phone with the Pentair App, or any pad with the Pentair App. Thank you Pentair!

    Works Great!

    Easy to install. Works Great. My old wires, 200 feet from the pool controller to my home, aren't up to the task of carrying 15V to the protocol converter to power it. I had to get a 15V power supply and power the adapter from my house. The old wires seem to be fine carrying data from the controller. This isn't the fault of the product. I don't want to pull new cable so I will leave the local power option in place indefinitely, I really love how it works. The app is very intuitive. I especially like the history function to see when the heater was running and check on the outdoor temperature history.

    Pool operations made easy

    My original Pentair remote quit working after 9 years. The cost of screen logic was 1/2 the price and hooked directly into my internet switch I have in pool house. 4 wires go into main board. No need for wireless if you have internet switch connection or router close by. Simply configure off iPad and I was up and running. I used an “you tube “ video to walk me through the configuration process. Everything is now controlled by my ScreenLogic app From my IPhone.

    Necessary item for remote connectivity but expensive.

    The Intellitouch Protocol Adapter is a very expensive item for what you get but it does exactly as advertised and seller was by far the cheapest found anywhere on the Web. Pentair will advise you need to purchase this along the wireless adapter so as to utilize the PC software or the iPhone app. This is NOT correct and you ONLY need this protocol adapter. I used the existing 4 conductor cable that was in place for my old Compool Indoor control panel. I simply re-routed the cable to the laundry where my Wifi router is located. Connected the cable to this protocol adapter which I then connected to the router with the provided ethernet cable. I downloaded the software from Pentair as per their provided instructions, installed it and within seconds was connected to my outdoor pool ...

    Weak documentation and interface...

    Pentair should invest in making their software easier to use and the manual more direct. Once you understand that they have unique terminology and get the product installed, it does work reasonably well.
