only adequate for occasional use, for the price
The blade was sharp, but crude (burr the length of the blade on the back side). the anodized aluminum handle was well done, but the steel liner lacked attention to detail as they were not deburred or had their edges broken poorly (if at all). The spike, belt clip and top side of the blade were done well though. The liner lock for the blade and spike work okay The clevis pliers are okay with adequate teeth, although the fixed side is made from stamped steel. The pivot could have been pressed/riveted better. The lanyard ring doesn't rotate smoothly, but probably will improve with use. The included pouch is "okay", the velcro being its weakness Given the above, it's got all the markings (and price) of it's origin, yes, It's made in china, but it's only stated on the packaging. I'm only an occasional user, but if I were someone who depended on a knife with a spike to make a living (or a daily user), I'd recommend/buy something with better quality.
