Rockett Audio Designs Archer Ikon re-creates the magic of that legendary stompbox. It employs diodes associated with the gold-hued original, yielding a sound similar to J. RAD's silver Archer, but with slightly less gain and low-end warmth. Like its '90s-era inspiration, the Archer Ikon is shockingly transparent, enabling you to dial in gain without significantly altering the tone of your guitar. That said, it’s more versatile than you’d think. You can use it as a clean boost by turning down the Gain knob or crank it for gorgeous, tube-esque distortion — it’s all up to you.

Fantastic Klone
I have a Klon KTR, this Archer Ikon and an Aluminum Falcon. They're all indistinguishable. The Archer is the one you should buy as the KTR/AF are either over priced or the seller is difficult to deal with. All the online reviews with crappy compressed audio/video couldn't do them justice so I had to test them in person. The Archer is also the smallest (and labeled unlike the "just remember GTO" KTR). You won't go wrong buying this if you want that OD Klon sound. In fact, it's even smaller than I expected, almost a mini pedal.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Better than the Real Deal
I have owned and used many Klon clones, and two real ones over the years. The Archer does exactly what I want a Klon to do and does it reliably and quietly. Super pedal .... has alot of character, and very flexible for complementing one's setup. If this circuit is indeed the closest yet to a true Klon, then I now see what all the hoopla has been about .... though I would never have even considered going after one of those ridiculously priced after-market Klon's. But with a price under $200, this is definitely a good deal. I would recommend this pedal for any player who wants a top-drawer clean boost, and the extended flexibility of merging in various levels of tasty overdrive. I like the clean boost it provides.
Its a different option compared to the tube screamer. I can achieve tube screamer like harmonics with out a mid range boost.
