Works perfectly as replacement, though has usual problem with this model
If you need a replacement faucet for your water container, this will work just fine. But like all of the Reliance square containers, the screw-in faucet doesn't always seal when the faucet is pointing downward. I've never understood why they went with this design with soft plastic threads. You wind up with either the faucet pointing in an awkward direction if you want a good seal, or you have it pointing down and dripping a little. So just go to the hardware store and buy a couple of inexpensive circular rubber o-rings that just fit over the threads of the faucet. Better than the original!!
Having needed a replacement spigot assembly for some time, I finally broke down and got one. When it arrived, I pulled out the old cracked one to see if I will just end up with the same problem. The new spigot assembly does appear to be thicker where it is needed (the inner threads) and it feels heavier too, like it was made from more material all over.
