Much nicer than expected.
The light element puts out a wonderful bright diffuse light. It is not an array of individual LEDs but continuous and better for working with details. The lamp structure is high quality and finished nicely. This lamp is suitable for much more than crafts or handwork, making an excellent reading lamp, a minimal profile general purpose floor lamp, or even for indirect lighting such as a torchier.
