Megahouse masterpiece of a classics One Piece moment.
This beautiful One Piece Princess Shirahoshi Saling Again figure (Shirahoshi is a giant mermaid in the Manga and Animé) from Megahouse Excellent Model Portrait Of Pirates (POP) is top tier quality. Shirahoshi’s hair seems more of a translucent pink near the end points. Her clamshell top (somewhat akin to Disney’s The Little Mermaid’s clamshell tops) comes across as fan-service, which is one of the things that One Piece is known for (and there is nothing wrong with that). Being a Megahouse creation, this figure’s fine details including the scales, her jewelry, her fish hair comb, the metallic stripes in her tail and lines in her fin, the curves near the small of her back… are all appealing. Even that of the tiny to-scale Luffy figure sitting cross-cross look nice. Shirahoshi is supposed to be holding Luffy on her hand, but the figures do not mandate this since they are separate pieces. Still, since she is looking at her open hand, putting Luffy there would make more sense anyway. Shirahoshi’s rock/ coral base that she free-floats on is unfortunately only primarily visible from the rear (her large tail is in the way). A shame since it is a colorfully beautiful ornament piece in-itself. To conclude, I see this 16-year-old ancient Poseidon weapon called Princess Shirahoshi (who is holding the main protagonist) figure as a beautiful and tasteful bedroom artistry suitable for all fans of One Piece and I can recommend this figure for all fans of the One Piece Manga and Animé.
