    Advertised as depicted but I cannot turn the item on to use ever.

    I cannot charge the battery, the screen when kindle is plugged in lights up as yellow but never changes to green. As a result, I cannot advance the kindle past the first screen no matter how long i keep it plugged into charging status with a yellow status, it never changes to green, as a result I give it a negative review and definely is not worth the purchase price of 300 dollars !

    Great Kindle but many features being removed by Amazon

    This kindle is GREAT because I do not get eye pain and headaches when using for it for extended times. Most phones and tablets do give me eye pain and headaches when used a lot. The only issue with this and similar kindles (such as the Kindle DX) is that Amazon is slowly disabling most of the features of it so that before long it will likely not be usable.

    Great with my old books that doesn't seem to like the newer (or older) fire kindle.

    The screen has a one or two byte? mark on the screen. Not a problem. sometimes it looks like a comma when I'm reading but it doesn't interfere in the enjoyment of reading the story.

    Did not work/bios out of date

    On the 3rd Generation Kindles if you did not update the BIOS in 2016 you cannot connect to the internet unless you manually download the BIOS updates and manually install them. This Kindle arrived with the BIOS several years out of date and it would not connect to the internet. It took me several hours to figure out the problem and quite a bit of work to get it operational.
