Donner guitars are made well. This was a refurbished one and it had a grounding issue to the strings which I corrected with no problem. I changed over the push-pull pot to a mini switch which I find easier to use than the push-pull pot with the Strat type speed control buttons (difficult to pull). The guitar is very nice and is even better now that I switched out the ceramic pups for alnico 5. Donner guitars are made well. This was a refurbished one and it had a grounding issue to the strings which I corrected with no problem. I have owned guitars from all the major brands and this one is on par with all of them. Good weight to the body. Very smooth neck. Excellent frets, no sharp ends or fret buzz. Tuners work great. Nothing was loose. The gig bag is above average. The price was incredible! Especially with it being on sale plus 2 digital coupons. If you have any reason to want this guitar, beginner, back up, strat style, etc...I say buy it. Plays as good as the expensive guitars.
Perfect neck and action. Plays and sounds like a Gibson. The only problem is that the volume control knob is located right underneath the strings and while playing your hand sometimes accidentally hits the knob and turns the volume up or down while you are playing.
