    I love everything about this percolator,...

    I love everything about this percolator, except for one thing: it takes about 15 minutes on above-medium heat before it starts percolating. But I don't fault this percolator; I suspect all stovetop percolators have this same issue. Once it starts percolating, I let it run for about five minutes, then turn the fire off. I then have the best coffee I have ever tasted, because the water goes through the grounds many times, as opposed to once with a standard coffee maker.

    Bad design

    The design of the strainer on this percolator boggles the mind. I have tried every kind of grind of coffee from fine to course and I cannot get the water to strain through the coffee in less than half an hour. Why did they make these strange holes that clog up every time?Simple strainer holes will allow the water to pass through so that one doesnt have to leave the pot burning up on the stove and boiling away all the water just to get one cup of coffee at the end.

    Heavy duty, yet Very lightweight and functional

    I loved this so much I bought another shortly to have as spare and take to family gatherings where the coffee pot can hardly keep up. Its super sturdy, unlike the off brand version I picked up first because it was cheaper. Just get the real deal the first time and you won't regret it. Its bigger, stronger and you don't have to worry about bending the cheap metal when you wash it like the flimsier copy cats.
