I have tinnitus and upper register hearing loss, but still work as an equipment operator in loud industrial settings. Road work, jackhammers, loud trucks. The noise can be sustained or instant upticks. Regular foam ear plugs just make me not hear much at all. Not good, because I need to hear my workmates instructions and warnings.
The E100s amplify enough of the lesser noises including other people speaking and warning buzzers so that I can hear them, but shut off noise when it gets too loud. I'm even experimenting with putting regular earmuffs over them, the earmuffs seem to cut out the overall then and the E100 still amplify speech. But that remains to be seen over time.
I can leave them in when I get in the truck and drive because I can still hear my partner and I can still hear the noises of the traffic around me, and the truck radio. Sometimes I just leave them in at lunch.
I've been considering getting these for years, and I wish I had much sooner. I know my hearing has suffered because lots of times I just can't be bothered to put anything in, but with these I'm happy to wear them.
No, they don't have Bluetooth but I don't care. That's not what I got them for.
Liked the TEP-100 that I bought the EEP-100 for the Wife
Over all they do what they are supposed do, and since the Wife may wear them 20 maybe 30 times a year they are perfect for her. It allows a more comfortable fit for rifle and shotgun with out the worry of stock knocking them away and being active better than any simple ear plug.
Had this product for almost a year and still impressed with it. Been through many training experiences and staid in my head the whole time while running and gunning.
