Nobuo Mizuta's MAIKO HAAAAN!!! is a delirious Japanese comedy that pokes fun at the country's geisha culture. Kimihiko Onizuka (Sadao Abe) is a lowly office worker who dreams of falling in love with an apprentice geisha (known as a Maiko) after his relationship with his girlfriend, Fujiko (Kou Shibasaki), ends. But when Kimihiko visits a geisha house and is usurped by a baseball player, he decides to get revenge by taking up the sport himself. A dizzying game of one-upmanship begins as Kimihiko and the baseball player take a series of increasingly unsuitable jobs in an attempt to make the biggest impression at the geisha house.
