    Not So Hot

    Problem is, the hook up opens the phone line so that any incoming call gets a busy signal. So there's no way to record an incoming call. And since there's no dial tone with this hookup, there's no way to make an out going call either. Unfortunately the instructions are too limited to have a trouble shooting page or support information. So, for me it was a waste of money.

    Elated and satisfied.

    It was relatively easy to install once you read the instructions and use common sense. The sound, on playback is superb.To playback, make sure the device is switched from record to play. Also, press the record and play levers, simultaneously, on your recording device after screening the call and answering it.

    Problematic

    It isn't clear if this device will actually work with a cable VOIP phone system such as that provided by COMCAST. It records my half of the conversation but I cannot get it to record the party I'm calling half. So, that makes the device ineffective unless that situation can be resolved. I'm working with tech staff to see if it can be resolved so that both sides of the conversation actually get recorded. By the way, it did record my part to my MP3 player.
