This trainer is fine for the average rider that is looking for some indoor time on their bike, it is by no means a pro-grade trainer. That being said, for the low cost of this trainer, it is built fairly well and is stable, the roller is plastic, however. Correct setup is key to making this trainer perform properly, read the directions and believe what they say. When I first set it up, the noise was almost unbearable and there was no way I was going to be able to use it for extended periods of time. Yes, I then read the directions! With proper tightening of the roller and making sure my tire was inflated to it's max pressure, the sound level came way down. If I keep my speed around 20mph and cadence around 80, the trainer just has a mild hum which is what I expected. If I sprint faster, the mag wheel sounds like it is wobbling, it is not, just sounds like it. I also set it on a small throw rug since I have wood floors.
I am overall satisfied but I gave it four stars because my Blackburn model is much better, but it did cost more.
I can recommend if you are looking for a lower-cost trainer as long as you set it up correctly. I still prefer to ride my bike outside, but can't always.
