    Poor service....

I know what the book is about and it is a great book however I bought it from and did not receive it from Goodwill in Roanoke ,Va. ...they have to be the most slip shod bunch of people in the whole world...I live about 3 1/2 hour drive where this item was located and it's a straight shot up the interstate highway from where it was purchased and yet it according to the tracking is in California....clean across from the country...I wonder about this...they have my correct address and my address is very plain for them to see and use....I wonder why they shipped it to Gardinia California or even if they even had the item to start with...I've read the reveiws and from what I've read they are a slip shod operation.....

  • Great in-site to the Statler Brothers

Have recently researched the Statler Brothers past and have been intrigued by what I've discovered. I always enjoyed their music, but I only knew what I'd heard on the radio. It's amazing how many songs they wrote with high quality, and sang them to perfection (even the ones they didn't write). Random Memories lets you take a deeper dive into who they really are, and who couldn't love them for who you find them to be. I recommend this book, and also the others that Don Reid has written.

  • A bit of a rip-off

While the book is fun and well written, the book is just grossly overpriced. I've read many MANY biographies, memoirs, and historical fiction books, most of which were free from the library or fairly cheap Kindle selections, and the price on this book is ridiculous. The only reason I bought it is I haven't found anything else want to read at my library recently and after realizing it's just a memoir and relatively thin to boot, I wish I hadn't paid so much. For that much money I thought it would be way more than it turned out to be.

  • "Well written"

Growing up ,the Statlers were always a favorite of mine. This is not a in depth story of the group. It is as titled, memories shared by the two Reid brothers. Entertaining, informative and humorous.

  • The book is great!!

As one who has followed the Statler Brothers since they began appearing regularly on the Johnny Cash TV show, I truly enjoyed the behind-the-scenes coverage as well as the ups and downs throughout their extremely successful career. And above all: they were truly a great bunch of guys!
