The Lenovo ThinkPad Ultra Dock 90w gives your laptop desktop-level features. This Lenovo docking station comes with three USB 2.0 ports, one of which can provide always-on USB charging, and it comes with three USB 3.0 ports as well. These are great for external hard drives and other devices that require rapid data transfer rates. This docking station also supports 10/1000 gigabit Ethernet connections and comes with a 2X DisplayPort 1.2 port, 1X DVI-D, 1x HDMI 1.4, and a VGA port. The dock is quick to use no matter what operating system you use because there are no drivers to install. Finally, the Lenovo 40a20090us ThinkPad dock also features top-of-the-line headphone, speaker, and microphone jacks if you want to output your laptop to an audio system.

    Must-have companion to your ThinkPad!

    I've wanted a dock for a long time, but what made me get this was my recent purchase of a new UHD 4K monitor. As stated in my trusty T470p's PSREF, only 30fps output at 4K is supported on the HDMI port because the T470p uses the older HDMI 1.4 standard and doesn't support HDMI 2.0. I'd have to use the DisplayPort, which would require a new mini-DP to DP cable. Instead, I purchased this dock which provides numerous USB ports as well as multiple full-size DisplayPort outputs enabling the full use of my new monitor. VGA and DVI is also provided for those with older monitors or projectors. Now that Lenovo has switched to USB-C docking on new models, these older mechanical docks can be had for a great price. However, the inclusion of an additional charger alone is well worth the price. No ...

    Works but has some defects

    A display port doesn’t work, because of that one of the monitors goes dark for a few seconds then it comes back up. Also I have to plug the docking station out from the power source every time I set the laptop back onto the docking station. Besides that it works fine so far.

    Great Deal - Quality Product

    Quality product. All the ports I need. Great for heat dissipation. I can use the dockfor typing on my lap, even sitting on a blanket in bed, and the laptop never overheats.     If you have a ThinkPad X200 series, just buy this dock. Seriously.

    The X200 series is designed for people who Get Things Done. In my case, my X270 travels with me AND is an extra workstation in the lab at home. With my previous laptop, coming home meant plugging in power, three USB's, HDMI, and Ethernet just to integrate it back into the lab environment. Now I just drop the X270 on the dock and everything connects instantly. When I need to leave, I just pick up the laptop and walk away. This is the second laptop I've had that had an optional dock. I'd forgotten how useful they are. I expect the new X270 to last a long time but when the time comes to replace it, the availability of a dock is going to be near the top of my requirements.     Ultra Dock is Right.

    A necessity if you plan to use a Lenovo laptop of the listed generations as more than a second device. Provides not only charging, and port duplication, but also allows for quick connect and disconnect from a number of peripherals. Makes it far easier to use a Lenovo laptop as more of a desktop replacement without requiring the tedious process of disconnecting and reconnecting a number of cables every time you decide to leave home.
