  • Top critical review

It's okay but there is much better

This is an okay power supply, and so far is doing what it is supposed to do. I bought this originally for a machine that is having boot issues, but after doing some research, I ordered a better power supply and put this one in another machine, a Pentium 4 /w 2.4 gHz CPU in need of a power supply where it works fine. This power supply only has 2 molex 4 pin power connectors, although it claims 3. It's packed well in a pretty box. After I had purchased I found an in-depth review of this supply, and I pretty much have to concur with what the review said. This is made of very light metal, the overall weight is very light, the heat sink is small and thin, there are very few components, the wires going to the power plugs also seem quite light, the 'expert' review claims that 20 gauge wire is ...

  • You get what you paid for

I can't say much about this PS because as Power Supplies go, if you spend less than $100 there isn't much in the way of stability or reliability. Sometimes they last a while and other times they become unstable in a few days. I'm not a gamer and perform only simple tasks so I have no need for anything expensive and for the price I can afford to replace these periodically. Test and use these right away; if they're going to fail it will usually be within 30 days and that's the standard warranty period. Buy two so you aren't down in the meantime. I keep one on the shelf.

  • Decent but not great

This is what you pay for. A decent Budget PSU, but the lack of any PCIE power plugs makes it nearly obsolete in today's world of computer gaming. If you are not building a gaming computer, it is not bad, but then again... for a low power or low profile setup it is ideal.

  • ATX Power Supply - Diversified Power For Your Project Board

I use this LOGISYS Computer PS480D power supply for my projects board. It supplies a number of voltages and all I need to do is clip and connect the output wires to terminal strips and I have everything I need power wise to work on my train projects. Powers my testing board.
