    Auto raise feature is great

    Stands are very well built with heavy duty components. The auto raise feature eliminates the awkward task of trying to manually raise speakers while trying to tighten the hand knob or put in a pin. Lesson learned the hard way, I was experimenting with the stands upon receipt and I loosened the hand knob to see the speaker pole go up and It did. Unfortunately, I was now faced with the daunting challenge of lowering the pole back to the recessed position. It is very difficult to lower to pole without the weight of a speaker on it. 'Nuff said.

    Heavy Duty!!

    Only have had a few weeks - but these are working well for me. Having the "lift assist" makes a big difference. I use them with a pair of JBL VRX900's on earch or 1 JBL -PRX735 on each. depending on the need. I added an "arrow sticker on each leg - helping me quickly figure out which way to pivot the legs to open. When they are closed, it's not so obvious (to me) which way to go to get them to extend. I feel they can handle the heavier loads.

    Excellent speaker stands!

    These speaker stands are of the highest quality, professional grade and like the namesake itself, the ultimate in strength and durability. I found that the air assist works very well to lift the speakers to whatever height I want, once I mounted them on the stands. This feature is not a mere luxury item in my book, because it's the sort of thing that will save my back from strain or injury. Let me tell you a back injury can cost you a lot in terms of downtime and medical bills. So if you have to work a lot of gigs, or even just a few, the air assist is well worth the extra money over a regular set of speaker stands, any time any day, in my honest opinion. I'm very glad to've gotten such outstanding stands at an such an exceptionally good price!

    Air cushion life speaker stands

    If only these had been around 35 years ago when me and my other 2 bandmates had to lift our heavy pa speaker up and down nightly. These are really great with the slight drawback of their added weight and the strength that is needed to bring them down. After a few times you catch on and it becomes easier. I love them
