    Outstanding...

    The NEX 7 has received many quality reviews when it came out and stands the test of time. With the a5100, a6000, and now the a6300 out, you can get a NEX 7 for near $300. The only difference is less focus point and the sensor is 24mb but slight older, but the quality in RAW images is outstanding. I'm very impressed. Many features in the camera as well.

    Perfect travel camera

    The camera was delivered in perfect condition and works great. A friend recommended I get this camera for traveling purposes instead of lugging around my big Nikon DSLR.     Great value for the a6000 predecessor

    The NEX 7 is a great camera with great features, lens options, and vintage lens conversion options. It's got great image quality and is highly portable. The newer 16-50mm lens is lighter and more compact than this 18-55 kit lens, but the older kit lens is better handling. Also, for video, it's great that the NEX 7 has an audio jack, which the newer a6000 does not.

    Sony NEX-7 digital camera

    On the whole, I am very pleased with my purchase, but was a little disappointed with the fact that there was no memory card with it. The quality of the camera and the quality of the 24.3 mpxl pictures are absolutely fantastic. The short 18-mm to 55-mm lens that came with it is not as good as the zeise lens i used to own on my alpha 7, but adequate. The 55-mm to 210-mm Sony lens I purchased at the same time is very good. On the whole it was in my opinion a very good buy, but disappointing from the memory card aspect, and with a Zeise lens this camera would be unbeatable.

    Powerful camera in a compact package

    This camera is the top of the NEX line from the generation preceding the a6000 series. In my opinion, it has somewhat better build quality than the newer cameras (more magnesium, less plastic). It also has a better finder, with level indicators. The menu system got a lot of unkind reviews, but I prefer it to the newer cameras. The presentation of information is easily controlled, and makes sense to me. I use the camera primarily as a platform for Nikon & Leica legacy lenses. The camera is used on manual exposure much of the time. The "3 dial" control system seems to work intuitively. In my opinion, the kit lens is not as sharp as most of my legacy lenses, but it's a zoom. All my legacy lenses are prime lenses, so it's not really a fair comparison.
