The base of the ottoman has been scraped on one side and chipped on the other. All of the chairs connections were apparently finalized after the chair was already wrapped in plastic, and I am unable to remove the plastic without unscrewing the entire unit. This makes it appear as if there is a white residue around each connection of the arms and both bases. Otherwise the chair is comfortable, it is just not satisfying to look at.
