I have been on a very extensive detox program for several years now and it was recommended that I do a 6wk trial with 5mthf. The reason was that it's possible to have a generic defect that hinders the bodies ability to release toxins and 5mthf is a key to correcting this situation. Continued use is required as it does not totally resolve the issue.
