I bought this digital multi-meter because it has auto-ranging and audible continuity function. It seems to work fine but I have noticed that the battery test function is a little deceptive. I removed the batteries from a flashlight that had a weak light and tested them with the meter. Both batteries indicated as good with the "green" light but the voltage was 1.49 volts. After experimenting a little I found that new batteries tested show 1.55 volts and just slight less on the battery test mode, which puts a slight load on the battery. It appears that the "green" light will light even when the battery tests below 1.5 volts. The batteries with less than 1.5 volts give a weak beam of light in a flashlight. The tester's manual does not give a voltage / light correlation. Just be aware that ... I bought this digital multi-meter because it has auto-ranging and audible continuity function. nice tool
I'm using it for few years already and happy with it. Comparing to cheap things, this tester is made to last. Quite accurate and quick. Often I forget to turn it off, so auto-turning off is a nice inbuilt feature. Bought lately a second one for my work. Downsides: rubber conners feel a bit too bulky, also probes fall off a bit too easily. But these are not too much disappointing.
