Maybe the newer ones have the bugs fixed, but the older ones have several problems. I have done much research after buying one used from a ebay seller. Mine and many other xti units have bad display boards, cable ribbons, pots, firmware issues, and cold welds. Mine is in the shop now getting these issues fixed. Other owners say that after these fixes the units are good. The new units seem not to have the same issues. I'm sure Crown made some adjustments because there were many bad units. I have always used Crown amps and that is why I tried thier lightweight amp. I had some words with Crown and they were helpful in 'fessing-up' to the issues. My suggestion would be to buy only units that are newly made within the last 2 years. Don't be fooled by guarentees or "clean-bill-of-health by our techs". The olds ones have problems. I gave the seller good feed back because I believe they thought they were selling a good product. I believe my unit will be reliable after the $300 in fixes. I would do something different if I had it to do over again. I hope this helps someone.Read full review
this a light weight amp but is very powerful. sound is great and simple to hookup. many features to customize the sound to taste. haven't found anything i dislike about this amp yet. crown is tops with amps and they back their products was my main reason for purchasing this amp. have used mackie and qsc amps but crown out performed them both. crown play for hours without over heating while the others have peaked and run hot. very dependable amp.
A multifunction amp.
