This ain't the actual Pilot. The actual Pilot is unaired and has a picture of Bruce on the DVD. "The unaired pilot is an earlier version of the first two episodes of the series, "Wheel Of Fortune," and "What It Seems." The main differences are that several scenes were re-filmed, and two actors (Reverend Purdy and Dana Bright) were later re-cast." The DVD of it belongs in the empty spot of Season 1. I have it in my collection. You can no longer get the Unaired Pilot anywhere. Hopefully someone might get lucky to find it on eBay.This ain't the actual Pilot. Do not judge other episodes by the Pilot!!
I felt that the introductory series pilot was mediocre, not only from the story line, but also the production itself. Scenes were choppy. I have found some of the other episodes to be of higher entertainment value for me. I purchase entire shows that I feel are well done like West Wing, Boston Legal, My So Called Life, and Deadwood. I would not be interested in purchasing The Dead Zone series. My advise is watch only the episodes that appeal to you and don't be afraid to turn the bad ones off.I felt that the introductory series pilot was mediocre, not only from the story line, but also the production itself. Dead Zone is a great show
great show.... Anthony Michael Hall is wonderful in it. I liked it so much i went ahead and bought seasons 1 and 2... winter is coming and i can snuggle up and watch them all.

Dead Zone DVD : Series Pilot
This is a very good movie for anyone wanting to know how the series first got started! This DVD series pilot episode is actually the first two episodes in season one edited into a 2 hour movie for those wondering. Highly recommended to all!!
