I've been into Tae Bo for years and was looking for the original video, remembering how tough it was and wanting a challenge. This routine will get your heart rate up and help sculpt your thighs and butt with the various kicks and floor exercises. When the tempo increases for some of the moves, it can be hard to keep your balance and stay accurate, but with practice it can be done. One part I did not like was that there is really no stretching in the beginning. The kicks can be hard on muscles and joints that are cold and not stretched, so I'd recommend pausing it and stretching on your own. This is an "older" video so the background and choreographing is kind of dated, but if you’re looking for a high intensity work out that is fun and get results, this is your ticket.
This video is a no nonsense, straight forward fitness routine guaranteed to get you in the best shape of your life. The moves are easy to learn and effective. I have used this video before and was amazed at the muscle tone I gained by doing this routine 4-5 days a week. I sold my other one at a yard sale in favor of the more updated Tae Bo video series. I was excited to find this one again and am eager to get back on this advanced routine. It is an excellent strength training video with plenty of cardio to strip the fat off. You will know it is working as you sweat profusely throughout the last half of the video. A great video that delivers what it promises---a challenging, effective workout that produces great results!
I purchased this because it was a workout I used years ago and I literally wore out the tape! I like Blanks' balance of kickboxing moves, leg work and abs. It has been fun to have it among my choices for an indoor workout again. The "speeded up" segments are obviously faked, but I just continue at my workout pace and ignore that hype. Otherwise, this is a good overall workout especially with added ankle and hand weights.
this is the ultimate body workout! its addictive and its the only thing that has ever worked for me. Ive used it for years on and off and I can always count on billy blanks for motivation. I have a hypothyroid condition and anyone who has hypothyroid knows how hard it is to loose weight. This advanced taboe is like nothing youve ever experienced! I went from a size 12 yo a size 8. The best thing is knowing that I can always count on this to help me loose and tone. dont get me wrong its a tough workout but thats why its amazing! you will burn at least 600 calories by the time your done your drenched in sweat. I have worn out two tapes. I like 8 minute work out. DVD not as good, workout is different, VHS tapes are best.
