  • From Star Wars to Jedi - The Making of a Saga

This movie is a must for fans of the original trilogy. It is not just a typical "making of" video showing how they do the special effects, etc. It is a comprehensive look at how George Lucas started out, the financial difficulties he had getting the movies made and how the technology he created literally changed the movie industry. It also has some great footage of the original screentests with the actors.

  • Must own!

As if you didn't already know, the first three "Star Wars" trilogies were far superior to the second three, with "Empire" being the best, I think. Owning this video has brought back some very fond theater experiences of the 70's and 80's that no amount of computer-generated technological wizardry can replace. View it for yourself and be amazed.

  • Outstanding Background Information

Star Wars (the original three movies) remade much of movie making. In The Making of a Saga, Mark Hamill explains a lot of the new technology needed to bring Star Wars to fruition. He is candid about the shortfalls in the productions from the dream of George Lucas and lauds the moments that achieved Lucas' expectations. Very enlightening.
