Watched this series when it first came out. It's even funnier now, although all those SJW-types would be agast! Had zero problems with the discs!

Glad to purchase all 6 seasons of Becker. Very funny, witty! Character personalities all work together, great writers and plots.. feels like you’re in New York City, where Becker takes place. Like others who purchased it, however, found the dvd plastic container substandard. Last dvd was not secure, flopping around inside the back of the case. Not happy about the scratch on it, either, but it did play okay, miraculously. Took a chance on the purchase, because of the great price. Overall, glad I own this series.

Ted Danson plays a sarcastic doctor of a small Bronx clinic, who tells it like it is. Once in a while you will recognize a former Cheers cast member in a walk-on role. Becker meets with patients who get the blunt facts, but the good doctor does have a heart. He also visits the cafe around the corner with food that isn't very good. His best friend is a blind man with a magazine stand inside the cafe. The Becker character is reminiscent of Charlie Sheen's character in Two and a Half Men.

I never understood why this show did not win awards. The writing is great and the ensemble is unparalleled. The show deserves five stars; the packaging took one away. I held my breath each time I removed a disk for fear it would break. Too tight. Otherwise, this was worth the wait.

I had forgotten how funny this show was. We never missed it when it was on. The writing is great. Each of the characters are well-defined. Ted Danson is Becker, think of a cynical, grumpy Sam Malone, but still with a heart.
