The one thing I have against this purchase is the intense chemical residue smell and taste in the water boiled in this product. This is after two separate boils with soap (Bronner's peppermint) and a boil with vinegar. My wife says this will wear down soon, but this has been my 3rd tea session after all the cleansing, and I still taste it somewhat. At least it puts on a good show with the blue lights while it boils the water. And it's a great capacity to boil at once. So I hope the off-putting taste wears down soon...

I love the design of it. Unfortunately, I used it today for the first time and when the water stopped boiling and the letter shut off, I could take the kettle from the base and later I discover that the plastic with the electric contacts had partially melted. Still a great product. I’m expecting a replacement.

This is really a problem solver for me! It seems, as I have gotten older, I sometimes get distracted & forget the pan of water I put on the stove to make tea.
