We were taking pictures of our neighborhood to prove that the Declaration that supposedly governs almost everything you do is not being enforced, and this camera was wonderful. You do not need to spend 5 days absorbing the directions, and the zoom lens is very easy to use. We won our lawsuit when the judge saw the proof of our argument. We got $26,000, so the camera paid for itself many times over!

The camera is OK. Didn't come with any extra's, just the camera and no battery or memory card. It takes a fair picture. Not as good as some past Canon's I have had.

.Awesome camera produces excellent photos in the daytime. Also the quality is good even in low light. Built in GPS helps us to record the location with the photo that can be shared with panormaio site that can also utilized by many others or by our selves. 20x optical cameras are difficult to find especially in Jaffna, Sri Lanka where I live. I checked with many cameras in the retail stores but none of them met my requirement so I bought it via ebay. I think I made the right decision. This camera was bit expensive for me as it costs as much as my monthly salary. Otherwise camera is really good. I have experience with canon Powershot A460, A490, A495, IXUS95, A3000IS, SX230HS, Sony Cybershot ,Nokia E5 (Smart phone) & Nikon Coolpix AW100 quality of the image really good for PowerShot SX260HSRead full review
Canon SX260 is a great compact camera with super 20x zoom and lots of other cool features. I like the color swab and color accent mode the most in which you can pick one color and leave the rest black and white. It has great image stabalization. The only thing that I don't like about this camera is the location of the flash as it is right where you put your finger to take pic but you will get used to it. Another thing is that the pics appears a little soft and are not as sharp as I want them but the pictures are still good maybe I just want a little more sharper images. The weight and size is awesome for a 20x zoom camera. Overall, I love this camera and would highly recommended for anyone who is looking for a small super zoom compact camera!
If you can find a good deal on eBay is worth the effort, best compact zoom camera, excellent image quality @ low light, high speed burst and slow-mo recording, very responsive .. only bad I found in this camera is the annoying pop-up flash, keeps staying on my fingers way. For the price range this camera has more features than any other compact on the market and build quality is excellent and solid

I bought this camera to replace the SX230HS I had and to supplement my S100 and 7D when I want a compact camera with a long zoom, excellent image quality, and great low-light performance. This camera has all of those and more. I love the very compact size, but I also love the 'chunkiness' of it and the fact that it's easy to grip and feels very substantial. The added finger grip actually makes a big difference. I also like the fact that Canon listened and made the flash defeatable; in other words, you decide when it pops up, not the camera as was the case on the SX230HS. The only negative is fairly strong CA in harsh or demanding lighting, but there is software that fixes that, so it doesn't have to be a huge issue. The image quality is beautiful and the high-speed burst at full resolution is also nice. Low-light performance is surprisingly good and makes this a camera that you can really use in low-light situations. I comfortably use it at ISO 1600, and 3200 is passable, not something I would have said about a PowerShot just a few years ago. The improved focal range is fantastic and being able to shoot wide at 25mm or long at 500mm is nothing short of remarkable. The fact that it all fits in my pocket is even more amazing! I really love this camera, and that love grows the more I use it. It's definitely a worthwhile investment and an incredibly versatile camera that you'll find yourself picking up a lot.Read full review
One of the best handling cameras ever made. Pictures are good quality even in 2019 for a 2012 camera. Old camera zoom stuck, bought a used one again this year. , Canon could not reedit as many qualities in an affordable camera since then. Superb shape and handling.

Great little camera. Zoom is out of this world for a compact camera of this size. Only issue is keeping it steady at FULL zoom so best to use a monopod if it is a serious or needed photo. Flash is in a weird spot kind of gets in the way as it pops up in an area you tend to keep your hands. Only part that seems cheap to me is the charger/USB port cover, it is a light weight rubber flap, probably better then a door with hinges that break, but still cheapish done. I and I'm sure many would of preferred a better placement possibly not even a need to really cover the port. Bottom line love the camera and photo quality and that is using only program/auto mode, hard to believe I could possibly do better if I studied and used the manual features. Oh yea, one short coming and possibly it is listed in the book but I could not figure it out when I needed it. I see no setting for doing a macro photo. You would think it would be plainly marked and it is not or possibly not even possible but time will tell. Bottom line though I love the camera enough that I bought my wife another simpler point and shoot brand just so she leaves this one alone for me, she loves to play with buttons and I prefer to keep this as a special occasion camera when high quality photo's are taken, not an everyday camera she just throws in her purse....Read full review
