I have macular degeration, an eye affliction that presently is incurable. To slow down or prevent the progression, my Retina Eye Doctor recommended I take two of these pills/day. AREDS2 has been endorsed by Eye Specialists all over the world. This is one of those things where it is impossible to make an accurate comment regarding its general efficacy because I have no way of knowing what might have happened if I had not been taking them as I have done over these past five years or more. All I can say is that there's been no noticeable worsening in the condition of my eye during this time. However, they were strongly recommended for me on a personal basis by medical friends in the USA as well as eye doctors and associates in UK hospitals.
