should have been very good
This is a very good unit, but it did not work right out of the box, had some minor hick ups. The remote is for a different model and the HDMI ARC output is dead which I need for my Smart TV. The positive side is that it came with a setup DVD and I was able to assign another HDMI port as an ARC. Other than that, I love it.

Excellent receiver for the price
Great addition to my home theater system which includes HDMI, digital and analog components which this receiver is capable of handling with ease. I run a vintage Acoustic Research turntable that's analog as well as a combo DVD recorder/VHS recorder that can hook up to both play and record. I have 5 surround speakers, a powered woofer, a dual-deck cassette player/recorder, a 5-disc CD changer, a 50" HDTV, a Blu-Ray Disc player and a DVR all of which hooked up to this receiver with lots of leftover inputs and outputs. BTW, the AM/FM stereo tuner is superb and allows external antenna hookups which is great for pulling in stations from as far as 200 miles away. It also comes with an iDock which can input an iPhone to use for a media source which I don't use as I have an android phone.Great addition to my home theater system which includes HDMI, digital and analog components which this receiver is capable of handling with ease. Decent entry level 5.1 receiver. Looks complicated but easy to set up. Powering Polk RT15s front & rear, Polk CS245 center, & dual Yamaha YST-SW215 subs in a 16x12 room. Pros: 1. Easy set-up with the YPAO system, although you may have to tweak the settings. 2. Difference sound stages & effects to complement source recording & room. 3. Decent volume level assuming efficient speakers. You're not going to drive difficult loads however. 4. Good selection of inputs - digital coax, optical, HDMI (with audio return), component video, analog audio. 5. A 3.5mm jack up front to connect an mp3 player without burning up any inputs in the back. 6. Seven-band EQ function on front/rear/center. All speakers & rooms need to be EQ'd. Cons: 1. Hard to beat for the money!
This reciever packs 105x5 watts per channel of pure clean power... not to mention it stable at 4 and 2ohms! Im really impressed with how easy the rx v467 is to use and setup. From the research I have done, your going to be hard pressed to find another product thats better for the price! Only drawback is the lack of pre outs for bi amping purposes. Although I used my sub out to bi amp a pair of polk audio a7's, with the selectacble sub crossover(40-200hz) it actually works really well for bi amping...surprisingly!
